In “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,” Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) is an executive bodyguard who must get Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson), a hitman, to testify at the International Court of Justice against a president, Vladislav Dukhovich (Gary Oldman). The story and action is a bit slow at the start, but then action picks up in the later two-thirds of the movie with chases, shootings, explosions, and stunts, with f-bombs dropping out faster than from a World War II aircraft. The relationship between Bryce and Kincaid was about as affectionate as Deadpool meets Jules (“Pulp Fiction”). I recommend “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” for a bargain day or wait for on online or DVD.
I rate it a 7 out of 10.
